Credential login incorrect error

Question

Every time i go to connect my VM with RDP it'll ask me for my credentials and i'll type in my azure account and it'll say "The credentials that were used to connect to xx.xx.xxx.xx did not work. Please enter new credentials". I searched for fixes but even if i tried to log in with my computer's Microsoft account it'll still give me the same error. I know for a fact I'm typing in the info right so what am I doing wrong?
