Security Center Pricing RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are designing our Azure subscription and have a question around Security Center pricing. While designing our storage model, we are discussing whether to have one single storage account for various systems (i.e. each source system gets its own container) or one storage account per system. There are other considerations to decide on this approach but this question is around how Security Center pricing works - will it be different in these two cases (multiple storage account vs one single storage accounts but both having the same data and same number of read/write transactions).

  • From Security Center perspective the pricing will not change in your scenario. The cost of creating a storage account is very less and will not affect the overall pricing much. So you can create multiple storage accounts if needed.

You have to consider the amount of data that you are going to store and the munber of transactions that are going to be there. I would suggest monitoring for a week and then modifying it as needed based on usage.
