Operations on Verizon CDN endpoint continually fail - The requested operation cannot be executed on the entity as another operation is in progress. RRS feed

  • After provisioning a custom domain against a verizon standard CDN endpoint through the Azure CLI, I am no longer able to request any operations against the custom domain entry or the cdn endpoint. Frequently receiving errors stating "The requested operation cannot be executed on the entity as another operation is in progress." and "Failed to update custom domain properties. The requested operation cannot be executed on the entity in the current state."

    How can I get feedback on the current state/operations in progress so I can get round these errors?

    We are aware of this issue. Any API made on Azure CDN Verizon experiences 400 error. We are working on to get this issue resolved. 

    I will update here once the issue is resolved.

  • Thank you. Is it possible to assist in deleting a verizon cdn profile in the mean time please? Attempted to delete it but receiving a 404 when trying to load the profile's blade in the portal. Attempts to delete both the profile and its resource group fail. This is blocking from putting a service into production on Azure.

  • It seems like a different issue. The one what I have mentioned is for 400 timeout when you execute any operation. 

    Can you drop an email to azcommunity@microsoft.com with your subscription ID ?

    I will enable one time free support to get this issue sorted.

  • I'm also receiving 504 errors for CDN endpoints fwiw

    ERROR: request failed: Error occurred in request., RetryError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='management.azure.com', port=443): Max retries exceeded with url: /subscriptions/f14052b0-14be-4ab5-a51b-cba923512d29/resourceGroups/p4049-staging-rg/providers/Microsoft.Cdn/profiles/p4049-staging-cdnp/endpoints/p4049-staging-cdne01/purge?api-version=2017-10-12 (Caused by ResponseError('too many 504 error responses',))

  • Thanks Msrini, I have sent an email. I think it might be related, or caused, by the outages. I was receiving 400 timeout errors a lot against the endpoint operations (even trying to delete the endpoint), so tried to start from a clean slate by deleting the resource group. It deleted everything except the profile which is erroring so it feels related to the Verizon outages. Thanks.
