how to upgrade SQL Server from 2005 to 2014 RRS feed

  • hi i have installed sql server 2005 now i want to upgrade it to 2014 is it possible

    if yes tell me the procedure

  • Hello,

    You can upgrade from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2014  by performing an in-place upgrade using SQL Server 2014 media or you can choose installing a new SQL Server 2014 instance side-by-side with your existent SQL Server 2005 instance and migrate databases to the new version using backup/restore.
