Access 2013 and UWP apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it even possible to read data with a UWP app written with Visual Studio 2019 (C#) if that data is coming from an Access 2013 database, which is actually an Access 2002 database plunked down in Access 2013 ?

  • Hi,

From this document, it mentions when you want to connect to an Access database, you need a Windows Forms or WPF project. If you want a UWP app, you can use desktop bridge to convert the windows forms app or WPF to UWP app. You need to check some points in this document before packaging and you can use MSIX or creating Windows Application Packaging Project in vs to convert it.

Besides, we invite you to post new questions in the "Developing Universal Windows apps" forum’s new home on Microsoft Q&A (Preview)!

    Best Regards,
