Using CID to get 95% Earning Rate RRS feed

  • Question

  • We've implemented a CID parameter into our website links to our apps on the Windows Store, hoping to get a 95% earning rate instead of 85%.  However, Microsoft Support says that we also need to "Programmatically retrieve the custom campaign ID for an app and run the intended API."  Does anyone know what this means?  We aren't sure why we need to retrieve the CID from within the app, but they say it's necessary.  Does anyone know what the "intended API" is?  Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

    You could retrieve the campaign ID according to the document here:Programmatically retrieve the custom campaign ID for an app.

    Code example:

    StoreContext context = StoreContext.GetDefault();
            // Try to get the campaign ID for users with a recognized Microsoft account.
            StoreProductResult result = await context.GetStoreProductForCurrentAppAsync();
            if (result.Product != null)
                StoreSku sku = result.Product.Skus.FirstOrDefault(s => s.IsInUserCollection);
                if (sku != null)
                    return sku.CollectionData.CampaignId;
