Getting Started with User Profiles

Personalize the MSDN site by creating a profile with us.  (Already have a profile? Sign in here.)
Why should I create a profile?
By creating a profile with us, you can start contributing to all the new applications that we are adding. For example, you can:

  • Post in our forums
  • Bookmark your favorite technical resources
  • Contribute annotations to some of Microsoft's official documentation

Your profile is linked to from all of the contributions that you make, so that others can learn more about you. It also shows your recent Social activity, including links to your bookmarks or other contributions.

In the coming months, we will add new ways for you to gain recognition for what you do and what you know.

Sign in and start making the MSDN site yours.

OK, I want a profile. What do I do?

Just sign in using your Windows Live ID and choose a display name for your profile. Then customize your profile by adding information and choosing your own avatar image. If you don't have a Windows Live ID, go to http://account.live.com and click Sign Up.

Can I see an example of a profile?

Sure! Here are a few profiles:

  • Oschpele
  • Brad Turner - ILM MVP
