Biography

I manage the RED team within the Microsoft Office Division. RED stands for Research, Experimentation & Design. It includes the teams that do long range Planning and Strategy, Envisioning, Labs, User Experience Research and Design. I've been at Microsoft since 1994, and have worked on Word (11 years!), Excel, Publisher, Asian language versions of Office, and most notably I helped start the OneNote product and worked on it for its first three versions. I started Office Labs in late 2006 and have been managing the new RED team since May 2010.
