I have been programming since the mid-1960s. Almost all my professional programming experience was on mainframe computers using COBOL and assembler (Plan). I have had a long-term hobby interest in programming on a Windows PC, mostly using C and particularly Access VBA, including some complex databases with the latter. I am however a relative newcomer to C# which I first visited two or three years ago when I created a number of small projects and one significant one generating fractal graphics. Sadly through disuse I have forgotten much of what I learnt at that time, so am now back on the lower slopes of the learning curve in many areas.
