    Question

  • hello everyone,

i have successfully created a package and submit an app.

after getting the submission, my payment method was being verified.

    Asked for 3-digit code.

I am writing my 3-digit credit card secret number but it says "The number you entered is incorrect. you have 1 additional chance to enter the correct number."

Isn't it asking my credit card secret code or have any constraint?

  • I got the solution.

the problem was that i was thinking they as they are requiring CVC code but they sent a code to me when a transaction was performed from my credit card at the time of Purchasing Developer account.

In simple words, they were requiring a code from my statement and they sent this on my mobile phone..

  • Hi Mehmood

The number they are asking for is the CSV number. Also just double check that you have entered your card number correctly.

    Good luck.

  • Hello Peter As I aforesaid that I tried 7 times with 3-digit credit card secret number (CSV).

Do you have some other solution?

  • Perhaps you should check with your credit card provider as sometimes the number can be put in a strange place, but it's usually the last 3 numbers on the signature strip.

Other than that I don't know what to suggest.

  • I already checked with my credit card provider. there is no issue.

I got a note before requiring the 3-digit-code.

I think they are requiring something else.

Have you ever submitted the app to the windows store?

If yes then you better know.

    See the note below.

    Account statement example

For authentication purposes, we’ve charged your payment method a small amount which will be refunded to you.

You’re only three steps away from completing the verification process!

    • 1. Access your bank statement (associated with the payment method and verification charge date shown above)
    • 2. Locate the small amount we charged or the three-digit code found in the charge description
    • 3. Enter that amount -OR- the three digit code

Depending on your bank, the time for the charge, code and refund to appear on your statement may vary.
