How to auto-refresh developer license on build server?

    Question

  • We use an Azure instance with Server 2012 as our TeamCity CI build server. On this machine we also have to fetch a developer license to build packages every month it seems. Is there a way to prevent that or update the developer license automatically via key-chain stored on the server?

  • Hi Phil,

There is no way to automate updating the developer license. This needs to be done manually.

We are tracking issues with this with regards to lab scenarios and I'll make sure your build server scenario is on the list.

  • Thanks Rob for taking care of that! We will report how easy it is to use TeamCity as a build env for Modern UI apps

  • Another nice one would be to be able to run WACK in CI environments without UAC.
