    Hello,

I'm looking for an hardware solution to connect via VPN to Azure workers for a large number of unmanned sites (200+).

These sites don't have a PC, so I need a VPN client hardware that supports Azure Connect VPN. This piece of hardware needs to be industrial grade.

Is there any product to do that?

    Thanks

    Hi

As far as i know, Azure Connect Client can only installed in Windows Operation System, so i guess you need a hardware with Windows OS, such as laptop. Another thing i remember that perhaps Windows 8 Developer Preview can works with Windows Azure, maybe you can use a tablet with Windows 8 operation system to support Azure Connect VPN when it release.

    Hope it can help you.

what's the requirement for your connection to Azure? do you need the full network stack? what kind of device do you have in mind?

The site device is automation hardware, providing FTP service and Modbus/TCP server. The worker roles in Azure should access these data on a schedule.

Since the supported protocols by automation platform arent secured, we need to use a VPN to connect to the cloud.

My 3G router has a VPN Client built-in, but Azure Connect seems to use a complex VPN settings that are probably not met by a standard router. That's why I'm looking for tested VPN clients.
