Web Expression 4 versus Web Expression 3
-
vendredi 2 mars 2012 18:03I have just purchased several copies of Web Expression 4 Software. But the only textbook that I can find is Web Expression 3. Are there major differences between the 2 versions? should I still be able to use Expression 3 Textbooks?

Differences that would be in a textbook are minor. http://www.microsoft.com/Expression/products/Web4SP1WhatsNew.aspx and, for SP2, http://blogs.msdn.com/b/xweb/archive/2011/07/13/expression-web-4-service-pack-2.aspx
[Don't get hung up on HTML5 and CSS3 yet, unless you want to do the research to know what, and how differently, new features are supported in the various different browsers, and what you need to do to compensate for differences and what you can let go.]
The fundamentals don't vary at all: the main things you need to know are not EW's interface/menus, but HTML/XHTML and CSS, and you don't need an EW-specific textbook for those. :)

Amazon lists quite a few books on Expression Web 4. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Expression+Web+4&x=0&y=0
