Unanswered default homepage

    I have saved my webpage as default.com in the expression web tool, but it still does no come up as my default homepage on the hosting site. Any ideas as to what my problem may be?

    Check with your host, many use index.html as their default home page name.

    Did you really save it as default.com, or is that just a typo? If you did save it as that, that would be a big problem. You could try default.html and see if that helps, or do as Cheryl said.

    default.com is not a valid html page name.  Did you really do that?  HTML pages end in htm or html, not com.

    As stated, ".com" is not a Web page extension. It is one of the TLDs (top-level domains), such as ".net", ".biz", etc. which is the last domain listed in a fully qualified domain. Rename your file with one of the accepted Web extensions—.asp, .htm, .html, .php, .aspx, etc.—and you should be good to go.
