Latest Security Update for IE8 - hyperlinks now not working

Question

I have an intranet setup with links to documents on our network that were working with no issues.  I am on Expressions Web 4  - My computer is set to automatically download windows updates and I found that the last cumulative IE8 security update broke those hyperlinks.  If I uninstall the update they work just fine (with the security update applied hyperlinks with in the website pointing to other pages on the site work but any hyperlink to a doc on the network does not work - no error messages or anything.  Is anyone else having this issue? I'm new to this software -migrated from Frontpage.  thank you.

That's not an Expression Web question.

You need to check your security settings in IE8; something changed (we have no way of knowing how it would effect your intranet links). Ask your IT staff for help.

You might try asking in the Internet Explorer 8 forum and tell them which update is causing the problem. The forum is at:  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8?tab=all
