DMO in Katmai?

Will the "old" DMO be available in Katmai? Our administrative tool uses DMO to create a database, a login and a database user to be independent from any installed mgmt tool (Enterprise Mgr/SSMS)

Yes it will be available and will work against Katmai. Katmai will be the last release that will have SQL-DMO support. You should be looking into migrating over to SMO in the longer term.
