Hi
I just created a web collection and a site collection in it, configured it for Form authentication,
But once i access the URL i get following error.. any idea?
An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: The content type text/html; charset=utf-8 of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+msbin1). If using a custom encoder, be sure that the IsContentTypeSupported method is implemented properly. The first 1024 bytes of the response were: '<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

i refered the link given by you.,
As shown in there i do get "Security token service is not available". I tired the hot fix links provided there but all 3 packages tells it is not applicable for your computer.
I use windows 7 home premium.
When i browse Security token service with anonymous login disabled, i get a blank screen, with anonymous login enabled i get below error.. IS it not possble to have form authentication site in sharepoint / windows 7 enviroinment?

Hi,
I have Windows 7 Home Premium OS and I have followed the steps provided in the below link
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee554869.aspx
The Sharepoint Central Admin works fine, but the Team site does not work. Basically the Claims based windows service is not running.
The Security Token Service is not available.
When I enable the developer dashboard, I see the below error
8306 Critical Claims Authentication
What might be the issue?

Friday, August 19, 2011 11:09 AMAre you able to run the hot fixes (WCF Hotfix for Microsoft Windows) in Windows 7 home premium? I think it doesnt support home premium version and you cannot have a claim authentication work without this hot fixes.

Friday, August 19, 2011 11:41 AMI beleive we can install SP 2010 in Windows 7 Home Premium. But the challenge is you cannot have Claim based authentication sites. You can have windows authentication sites.

Sriram, are you using SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint Server 2010?
Some of the MS Blogs suggest that they have not tested Home Premium.
I have found this similar thread where a user has installed SharePoint Foundation 2010 on Home Premium
