sporadic AuthResend when accessing Mysite via ISA2006 SP1
-
Monday, March 05, 2012 5:37 PMHello, I am publishing a SharePoint 2010 Site via ISA 2006 SP1. The default
site works with no issues but when I attempt to go to mysite I get a sporadic
AuthResend append to the URL. Both Mysite and the Default SP2010 site are using
the exact same Weblistener, which has a Wildcard SSL on it. What could be
causing this sporadic behavior? Any help would be VASTLY appreciated!

do you get any error besides the AuthResend? the AuthResend is just append by ISA when it get HTTP 401 from SharePoint. Please read what follows from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951508 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2596444:
When ISA Server receives the HTTP 401 status from the Web server, ISA Server returns an "HTTP 302 Redirect" response to the client. This instructs the client to resubmit the request to a different URL. The different URL points to the original URL but with a tag appended onto it.
And according to
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969060:
When Microsoft Internet Explorer makes a request, Internet Explorer always considers the first request of a new connection to be anonymous. Therefore, Internet Explorer does not send any credentials as part of the request. If the IIS server is not configured to support Anonymous authentication, the IIS server returns a 401.2 status that tells the client that the client is unauthorized.
So, are the MySite and default SharePoint 2010 site visited from the same web application zone? If different web application zone is involved, what is the difference as to authentication setting on the server and browser?

The only other error that we get is that sometime when in My Site if the AuthResend appends, then clicking on the My Site home button brings up a 400 Error. But this only occurs sometimes that the AuthResend has been appended. There are 2 seperate web applications, and the authentications enabled where not the same such as basic auth and anonymous were enabled in the main 2010 site but not in My Site. I changed the My Site authentication to allow for basic and anonymous, but I still get the issue. Does that information help stermine the issue?
Thanks!

Hello,
I published my Intranet Site trought TMG to the Internet applying the best practices and recomendations, the Alternative Access Mapping was also configured properly at the SharePoint Central Administration.
When we open de URL public (Internet Zone) at first works fine, the TMG authentication form appears and we can login and for default we go to the Main page, but when I go to a subsite and try to open a Task List (or another type of List) appears an error message that said "This List doesn't exist" also error messages appears when I try to open InfoPath forms deployed in this Intranet enviroment.
Also at the end of the URL of this sites it shows this &AuthResendNNN [http://publicurl&AuthResendNNNN]
I would like to know if this behaviour is caused because this AuthResend parameter in the URL.
Thanks for advance for your help
