Application Registry Service Proxy is not found

Question

Hi All,

One of our application recently migrated from SP_2007 to SP_2010. this has custom application pages. briefly, it is a form which user can fill and submit.

it has several columns [like, First name, last name etc..] one of the column is "BDC_Entity pciker id".

after the migration when i try to open the page it is giving me an odd error saying: "Application Registry Service Proxy is not found". i checked with service running currently running in CA and Application Registry service is running properly.

What could cause the error ?? what could be the reason ?? i am thinking either it could be entity_picker ID error.

any guesses ??

You will have to update the Application definition file in central admin for SharePoint 2010.

I already did it varun, still the problem persists.
