I don't totally follow what you are saying, but are you using IE 7,8,9? If not, that is your issue.

HI,
It seems like
you want to access your sharepoint site in LAN and that require you to adjust windows firewall settings.
Now the steps are
Start - Administrative Tools - Windows Firewall with Advance Security
This opens Windows Firewall with Advance Security. Right Click "Inbound Rules" on the left side - New Rule.
In the wizard
1) click Port (Next)
2) Click TCP & All Local Ports (Next)
3) Click Allow the Connection (Next)
4) on the profile page select Domain, Private and Public (Next)
5) Give a suitable Name "Say SharePoint" (Finish)
Now you can access your sharepoint site from LAN.
You may also need to adjsut your IE browser settings and for that
Try the following link
Hope you like this reply.
Thanks

Are you using 64-bit IE? Note: “Open with Explorer” may not work if you have 64-bit Internet Explorer and 64-bit Microsoft Office installed.
If you are not using 64-bit IE, try to enable Basic authentication on the client computer, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters
4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
5. Type UseBasicAuth, and then press ENTER.
6. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Note Basic authentication is enabled if theUseBasicAuth
registry entry is set to a non-zero value. Basic authentication is disabled if the
UseBasicAuth
registry entry is not present or if the
UseBasicAuth
registry entry is set to 0 (zero).
8. Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
