Proposed Users regularly lose access to save mapped document libraries

I have several users with shortcuts mapped to SharePoint document libraries. They are using these mainly to save documents from within Office 2010 apps. Several times each day, they lose access to the folders. Specifically, when the try to save to the folder, they get prompted over and over again for their username and password. No matter how many times they enter it, they are unable to save or open files. Eventually access comes back... sometimes minutes, sometimes hours. Sometimes, rebooting the PC (Windows 7) restores access.

Site is ussing SSL and is added to the user's Intranet zone.

Any ideas? As you can imagine, this is a MAJOR problem. Thanks.

first go to painel control>Users Accounts>Credential manager and delete all passwords related with Sharepoint. Then, open "Internet Options" and on the tab "security" click on "Custom level..." on the last option you will see "user Authentication" change it to "automatic logon with current user name and password". Close everything and try to connect again, check the box to save your username and password.

Let me know if it works.

    Thanks
