rss feed still incompatible with iTunes

on first attempt, it appears the rss feed generator is still incompatible with iTunes.
Starting to dig, but does 2010 allow any configuration of the RSS feed, or, is there a parallel feature that's not immediately evident for creating compatible feeds?
I had hoped the need for pks and/or custom rss generators had been alleviated with this version.

Hi,
I've just spent 5 minutes in iTunes looking for where you can add RSS feeds... someone ought to have a word with Apple about usability ;-)
Can you point me in the right direction?

Certainly iTunes is not a RSS Reader! Subscribe to Podcast and Subscribe to RSS is quite different.
I would recommend you test with some RSS feed client or even with a browser.

obviously it's not an rss reader.
but, for a long time, people realized that if you were going to use SP as a media repository, it would be helpful if the feed it generated could be used by media players.
Some people effected this usage by configuring pks and its tools to do it. others beat on the rss feed generator and built a custom web part to generate a feed that media players could use.
it was hoped that by 2010, MS would have integrated this ability into SP
