view in web browser option

Question

In SharePoint Document library i am getting option for View in Web Browser while hovering my mouse over the excel file. While for others files in same site collection i do not get this option?? Can anyone let me know the reason??

Hi,

There must be excel services configured and enabled on the SharePoint server and that partivular service has been applied to the site collection your are looking for. Thats why you are able to hover the excel files into the document library and not able to do the same for other files. After configuring and enabling the excel services you can view the excel files into the web browser.

In Same site collection there are files which are opening fine but not for a particular document library.
