You'll need to use the Correlation Id in the error message to search the Server logs for more information.  There is no way to tell from this error message what the problem is.  Here's a blog post on how to track down a correlation id.

as said by Paul, can you check the log.

Can you also check that the search application pool is started in IIS

    Best regards, Christopher.

It looks like a problem with your Search topology.  Specifically your query component.  Check the topology in the Search Service in Central Admin.  Make sure that you have the query service running on at least one server.

Thanks for looking in to this.

Actually what happend is I just created a web application from central admin then I created a top level site.

Now in team site bydefault I got shared documents library. So uploaded some documents over there.

Now  I searched those documents with the name.Immediately I got the error.

So I didn't activated any feature.Do I need to activate any feature like Sharepoint foundation search or no need?

What are initial settings I need to do to get search page?

    Thanks,

    krishna

    Several things to check.

    1) in Central Admin check Services on Server and make sure that the Search Service and the Query service are running on at least one server.

    2) in the Search Service App check to make sure that the web application address is included in one of the content sources

    3) Check the Web Application to make sure that its using a service connection that is hooked up to the Search Service

Adding to what Paul has said

    1. Also make sure Full crawl + Incremental cralwed has been done.

    2. Also as you said you have created team site, make sure you have search center created and the team site refers that specific search center.
