Unanswered SharePoint Designer 2007 Workflow seeing only SOME InfoPath 2007 Promoted fields

I have an InfoPath 2007 web form that I am publishing to a Content Type on a SharePoint 2007 server.  The form is used in several document libraries on the relevant site.

In the publishing process, I have designated a number of fields as being promoted to visibility in SharePoint.  Of those fields, I have further designated 10 fields as being "Editable".

I can see all 10 of those fields in the various libraries when I view or edit the properties of an item in any given library.

The problem is in SharePoint Designer 2007, in the WorkFlow designer.  When I attempt to use the "Set Field in Current Item" action (or the "Update List Item") the list of available fields shows only 5 of the 10 fields that should be editable.

All 5 of the fields that are available are True/False Boolean values.  But there are other True/False Booleans that are editable but NOT shown, so I don't think that is the delineator.  The missing fields are 2 text boxes, a date field and 2 Booleans.

I can't be certain, but I think the 5 fields that are available *may* be the ones I promoted the first time I tried to make fields visible to the Workflow designer. So possibly it's a problem with SharePoint Designer not reading updated information from the site? But if so, I have no idea how to force it to refresh its "understanding".

In case it is relevant, the InfoPath form is being designed in InfoPath 2010, even though it is being saved and published as an InfoPath 2007 form.

    Any and all thoughts appreciated.

You can try deactivating the form's content type and reactivating it.  That has solved a lot of issues with columns not showing up for me.  (don't worry it won't remove any existing forms).  Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Features... find the content type and deactivate it, then activate it.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly, but when I go to the Site Features for the site in question, I don't see anything that references the problematic Content Type.  I don't see anything listed that even appears to reference Content Types at all.

And looking under the Content Types page for the site, I don't see anything that indicates I can diable or enable a content type.

I apologize, I should have made that clearer on its location.  Go to the top level of your site (http://site) > Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Features

    Melissa,

Thanks for sticking with me on this.  Unfortunately, I'm still not seeing what I *think* you mean.

When I go to the Site Collection Features, the features I see are:

XXXXX> Site Settings > Site Features
    Site Collection Features
      Collect Signatures Workflow*
      Disposition Approval Workflow*
Fields and Content Types for the Windows SharePoint Services Application Templates
Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features*
      Office SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure*
Office SharePoint Server Search Web Parts
Office SharePoint Server Standard Site Collection features*
      Reporting*
      Routing Workflows*
      Three-state workflow
      Translation Management Workflow

     ( * Active feature )

Am I still looking in the wrong place?  Or am I just missing something obvious?
