By adding the field to your form template directly via the Data Source pane and not dragging-and-dropping it onto a View of your form template. It will then exist in the form, but will not be visible to the user.

    Hey Desp.

You have probably moved on to other things by now, but to explain what was said above...

ALL FIELDS in the "Data source" list are hidden by default.  They are the equivalenet of database fields.  Dragging a "data" field onto the Form creates a link between the "data" and the "user interface".

So if you go View > Data Source... to show the Data Source pane, then click "Add a field or group..", enter the name and data type, and hey presto, there is your hidden field.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Ben
