I know when you build a WSS instance it will pull in details from AD. However, changes after the fact don't update the user properties in WSS 3. This is supported in MOSS 2007 and greater.
As this changed with Sharepoint Foundation 2010 does it now synchronise.
I want the good news!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Guys

What you're referring to is known as the profile import, which was part of the SSP in 2007 and is now part of the People service application in 2010. This service application is not included in SharePoint Foundation.

Good news is that SharePoint 2010 do have bi-directional synchronization with AD ( http://www.sharepointblues.com/2010/05/31/does-sharepoint-2010-mess-with-my-active-directory/ ).

Isn't that only for Server and not Foundation?
