Hi,
I need to know some possible problems to use SharePoint 2010 (Foundation or Server) with SQL Server 2008 and with SQL Server 2008 R2.
F.e. performance issues. Is it better to operate with SQL Server 2008 R2?
I'd like to know your experiences. Many thanks

Hi,
SQL Server 2008 R2 includes improvements in Reporting Services, Powerpivot, Analisys Services and express version increases database max size to 10 GB.
All improvements are here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb500435(v=sql.105).aspx
Regards.

Hi,
Choosing an edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 is an important step when planning a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 deployment. Take a look at this paper describes the benefits of deploying on SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition and scenarios in which its features can be applied. SQL Server 2008 R2 and SharePoint 2010 Products: Better Together (white paper) (SharePoint Server 2010)
