I am using the new AutoSPInstaller from http://autospinstaller.codeplex.com/.
The installation completes and is successful however there is one issue i received during the execution:
- Granting rights to User Profile Service Application...
Set-SPServiceApplicationSecurity : The user does not exist or is not unique.
At D:\SharepointInstall\Scripted\AutoSPInstaller.ps1:1066 char:36
+ Set-SPServiceApplicationSecurity <<<< $serviceapp -objectSecurit
y $ProfileServiceAppSecurity -Admin
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidData: (Microsoft.Share...icationSecurity:
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell.SPCmdletSetServi
I have looked into the script and the setup files trying to figure out what is missing but with no luck. Can anyone success a change to SetInputs.xml that would fix this.

First, let me say I have not used this tool but was intrigued to took a look under the hood.
I think your best option may be to open the setinputs.xml and change the value of CreateUserProfileApp to 0. Then, you can configure the UserProfile Service manually as a final step. This would allow you to troubleshoot the configuration without worrying about the big bang approach in the script.
I tried to locate the reason for the error in the script file itself, and believe your issue is related to the App Pool account being used to run the service may not have proper rights in AD.
I would recommend that if you want to use the script for the full configuratoin that you start a discussion or issue thread on the codeplex site and get a response there from the author of the script. I think the script is pretty nifty but only allows for four managed accounts to be used to perform the installation.
* Farm Account
* App Pool Account (General)
* Portal App Pool Account
* MySites App Pool Account
Final point is that if you are not doing an English language installation, that there are issues logged where the script will not properly translate accounts/passwords for configuration.
