Anonymouse Access between Default and Internet Zones

Question

Hello,

I've SharePoint web application with anonymous access enabled in Default zone. I extended the application to Internet zone with also enabling anonymous access. The site works fine and no login prompt appears.

When i tried to make the anonymous access enabled only for the Internet zone, i got the login  prompt!

the question is : why can't i access the internet site unless i enabled the anonymous access in both Default and Internet zones?

Hi.

You should not have to. Are you absolutely sure that there is nothing else that causes the login prompt? Are you really accessing the web using the Internet zone? Have you missed some setting? Perhaps you have the anomymous policy only on the default zone?

SOunds like you are accessing the site using the default zone and when changing that, the access goes away.
