    hi ,

i am unable to update "External List" (WCF services BCS) by Workflow (SPD 2010).

i gone through various site and found i have to create SSS (Secure Store Service) and have to use it in BCS (Authentication mode="Impersonate" and Secure Stored Application ID = ''localhostservie") . so i tried on Development server and no issues.

but when try to create in Office 365 i found the "Target Application Type" in "Target Application Settings" is disabled (only defalut 'Group Restricted') available

where as i select 'Indivisual" in Dev. server. while creating 'External List' i face error 'the username must be qulified with a domain(that is DOMAIN\user)'.

so can i update the External List by SPD workflow on office 365?

    Thanks and Regards

Office 365 only allows creation of group credentials in Secure Store.  Everything else should be the same, but Secure store will provide credentials for the external list based on group membership, not based on individual user id.

When you fill in the user field in the Secure store did you enter it in the format of domain\userid?  Or just enter the userId?

That's the configuration of Secure Store itself.   Once the application definition is complete you also need to add at least one set of credentials to the store.  Those are the credentials that will be used to connect to the external datasource.  Its those credentials that the system is complaining don't have a domain in the username field.
