Sharepoint 2010 - Creating Synchronization Connection - Populate button does nothing

Question

Hi I am trying to create Synchronization Connection to import my users from a Domian controller, but when I click the populate button, nothing happens. I waited for long  time and tried different versions of IE and Firefox. but it just doen nothing not even an error message.

Is this when you are trying from the server or remotely from the workstation?
