SharePoint_Config log file is growing

Question

We are facing the identical issues - SharePoint_Config log is growing every Sunday 5:00 AM. Search Job was overalpping with Delete Job History; but changing its time didn't help and log is still growing.

Pls note in my case .mdf size is 1.12 GB; while log files reaches to 3.5 GB and the Database is set to simple recovery model.

Could you check to see if you have verbose logging on?

You might want to turn it off and check.

Although you can turn on/off verbose logging from CA you might want to try using stsadm commands from powershell.

Is there any reason why you are not operating the config database in simple mode? It is a SharePoint recommendation
