AnswerConvert project from Hardware to Simluation - specifically with the differential drive

I am working through Sara Morgans book, and have coded the Chapter 7 LegoNXTTribot example. But since I don't have the Lego, I would like to convert the project to a simulation.

I have successfully created a simulation and the necessary objects (Lights, Cameras, Plane and LegoNXTTribot). But I don't seem to be able to get the Differential Drive working? Do I use the Simulated Drive, or the normal one with a change to the manifest?

Really what I need is a tutorial on changing a project from a hardware to simulation. This ought to have been part of the tutorials since it is one of the HUGE benefits of MSRS (or MRDS).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

Would it be safe to close this thread / mark as answered and answer all additional questions in the newer thread I recently responded too?

And sorry for the long wait for the reply, I haven't be able to get around to reading Sara's book yet and ended up being a bit busier than normal this week.

    Hi Mike,

I replied to the other post, but I don't want to seem harsh in any forum so I'll repeat a bit here as well. Sorry for the seemingly harsh response, I did not see your post until I had already published my answer, I thought I was posting to myself!!

Thanks for your help, it was a manifest issue, which I solved at the wee hours this morning. I really appreciate that Microsoft people do come out on the forums and help... A real encouragement!!

Oh yes, I forgot to wish you a happy independence day! If you're American. I should celebrate as well, I have been liberated from the tyranny of my own ignorance... for now....
