Internet Explorer Crashes

Intel Celeron Processor 465 Mhz 256 MB Ram

 

 Im writing because I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player 9 which downloaded Active x flash9.ocx and it causes Internet Explorer to crash often anybody please help. Thnks to anyone who responds in advance.

I have the same problem, since 9 began, it's recent update does the same thing. The only information I can get from adobe is that there are multiple threads that download and crash it but it doesn't offer a way to regulate the threads.

You may need to reset internet explorer. Mine had a similar problem with the flash player.

It worked for like a month. Then, out of nowhere, every time i tried to view a page with flash on it, IE would crash and give me the "IE is restarting..." message. Which doesn't help when you have 8 tabs open and it can only come back with the home page.

 

Go to "tools" then down to "internet options"

go to the "advance" tab and at the bottom is the reset button.

 

CAUTION!!

This will reset all add-ons and settings. It will be like the first day of having internet explorer. You will loose all temp files and history, and you will have to download flashplayer and the java add-on like the first time.

 

If that doesn't work, try mozilla firefox.

It has tabbed browsing and a stable flash add-on.

 

It also does a goofy thing with Photoshop CS3

It has a problem with having a network printer installed as your default printer.

Hi there,

 

I hate to do this to you, but support for Flash is available from Abobe.  You may wish to see if an updated version is available or whether someone on their forums can offer some useful advice.

 

Also, I would carefully investigate any online spyware detectors carefully before visting their sites.  A good approach is to use your favorite search engine to search for the name of the detector or its website.  Many reputable sites review spyware detectors regularly.
