How to put HTML code (video clip embed code) onto my page

I am used to Front Page and it was easy to imbed a code onto the page. I just made a text box (so I could find it easily if I needed to delete it) and then went to Advanced and pasted the code in. I could then test it by going to the Page view. Can't seem to see how to do that either anymore!
I have tried several things with Expression Studio 4, to enter an html code on the page - but doesn't work. How can I include a video clip embed code on my web page please? Please don't get too technical - learner here!
