Unanswered Live 5.1 WMA Pro Encoding

I am trying to encode a true 5.1 (i.e. 6 discreet audio channels) with Encoder 4 SP2 as live broadcast.  I am using Audio Repeater MME to send a 6 channel PCM feed from my Echo Audiofirepre8 audio interface via Virtual Audio Cable to the audio device input of Expressions Encoder.  Each of the (6) input channels register level on the audio meter, but the format status says (2) channels input and (6) channels out.  When I listen to the audio, it is clearly fake surround (i.e. matrix or not discreet) similar to Dolby Pro logic.  The archive file which it outputs says it is a (6) channel file, but still plays back with fake surround.

How can I encode a true 5.1 signal from a WDM or MME compatible multi-channel audio interface?  Also, is there a way to create audio level  meters for display on a web page which show each of the 6 audio channel levels individually?
