Are we going to get a new version of the article/document "Designing Applications and Services"?

The existing version contains a comment "A new release of this content is planned" but when you go to the P&P new and upcoming releases site, there is no mention of it.

So, can someone, please, make a statement on whether the document will be updated or if there will be no overall design guidance produced.

thanks (pleading to the p&p team)

    Jason

The answer I'm giving you, Smallmaj, is off the record as it wasn't officially announced yet, but PnP is about to rewrite that famous book considering today's MS tech stack

I'm keeping this thread assigned to me until have a more accurate info about that project (which surely will be posted and evolving in Codeplex)

I can confirm you that some people is working in a 2008 version of that book

In the meanwhile you may inspect CodePlex to see what open projects Patterns and Practices has. Particularly I suggest you one called "Guidance Explorer", which combined with the old version of the book may suggest you updated ways to implement book's ideas

    That project is here
