Appache 2 test page?

Question

Hi...

 I am getting "appache 2" test page for my Undeployed host... for eg if i access xxxx.cloudapp.net means i get Appache-2 powered by cent OS...

 Is tat mean when i create new host then by default Cent-OS is Installed... Am i right?

Hi,

Do you use Windows Azure WebSite feature or Virtual Machine feature? And you're using default cent OS?

I think you can provide more info about your creating steps.

Arwind,

I have deployed Roles directly from VS2010 by using publish profile... After the testing I went to Azure Portal and removed the roles... Now it shows Appache-2 welcome page...

Hi Bin,

Looks like a very strange problem, Can you make sure the role has been deleted from Azure management portal? You just delete the role or delete the whole hosted service? And the Appache-2 welcome page can be displayed all the time?

You can also use Azure management REST API to check the list of Windows Azure deployments:

Arwind,

 Now i am getting "111 connection Refused page" instead of Appache-2 welcome page...

I am sure tat my roles are deleted because in portal it shows

 You have nothing deployed to the production environment

You have nothing deployed to the staging environment.

 I didnt contact customer support as it is not a big issue... I just want to know whats happening in the background... i am sure that my role instance are removed because my compute hour usage remains same...

I guess this is a temporary issue in Azure management portal, if you want to get offcial anwser, support team maybe a better choice.
