  [How-to] Merge .hckx package

  Merge .hckx packages

  HCK Studio supports merging packages into one new package. This
  feature gives you the flexibility to distribute your tests across different
  projects, machine pools, and/or other HCK environments. Once each package is
  successfully created, you can merge them using the Merge Package option.

  1. From HCK Studio, click Connect.
  2. Select Package option, and then click Browse and open the one
     of the existing .hckx package you want to merge.

     Note
     You must open an existing .hckx package to enable this scenario. The original .hckx package will not get modified.

  3. Select Package tab, click Merge Package.
  4. From the Open dialog, select an .hckx package you want to
     merge.

     Note
     If you accidentally selected the wrong package, exit the project and start over. You cannot cancel a merged file.

  5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for each additional package you want to
     merge.
  6. Click Create Package.

  Windows HCK Refresh Coming at Windows 8 RTM

  At
  Windows 8 RTM, a refreshed Windows Hardware Certification Kit (HCK) will be
  available. The kit will include all QFEs released since Windows 8 Release
  Preview, plus a few more. You'll be able to download the RTM kit from the same
  place you download the current kit.

  The
  Hardware Developer Portal will accept certification submissions from either the
  Release Preview or the RTM co-release version of the HCK during a 90-day
  transition. After the transition period ends, the RTM HCK will be the only
  acceptable HCK version. The older Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.6 isn't affected by
  the update and currently remains available for submissions.
