    Hi,

I am not sure if this is correct forum, if it is not please help me post this to correct forum.

I have converted a Word 2003 template to Word 2010 template (from .dot to .dotx). This conversion however has added an extra paragraph to my front page. I am able to select this and remove the paragraph mark but Word actually does not remove it. I am not looking for tha toggle key (Ctrl+Alt+8)

    This is my Word 2003

And this is my Word 2010 template- notice the extra spaces on the right. The black block is actually a paragraph mark.

I can't delete these extra space. Please suggest something.

    Your help is much appreciated.

    Thanks.

If there is a table present, note that it will always be followed by a paragraph mark. I can have a look at the template, if you upload an example file to a file sharing site and post a link here.

Actually, since this is an end-user question, you should really re-post (with a link to an example file) in the Answers forum at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word?page=1&t ab=all.

    Hi,

Apolgies for such a late reply. The issue was with building blocks. Inthe original template some of the auto text entries were not converted correctly and that's why this block was shown. After fixing the building blocks this was resolved.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Regards,

    Pranav

This is a bit confusing, as Word 2003 doesn't support Bulding Blocks (they were first introduced in Word 2007). In what way did the AutoText entries need conversion?
