Is there a reason why gallery Q&A removes basic formatting?

Hello,

Any particular reason that the review and Q&A sections in the gallery remove line breaks and other basic formatting?

If it is intended then the editor should probably be updated so you can't enter line breaks or anything else that will just get removed.
