Sql Server Samples-Installer Error 2738

Question

When I try to install SQL2008.AdventureWorks_All_Databases.x86.msi, I get "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package ... 2738". I deleted the file and redownloaded it just in case--same thing. Vista Ultimate. What might I need to do?

Something unregistered VBScript on your machine, VelmaK. Although we're planning to remove our dependency on VBScript with SR2, at this time you've got a couple choices:

1. Register VBScript and rerun the MSI:

   or
   
2. Download the ZIP file, unpack it and manually create the databases from the T-SQL scripts and CSV files.
