    Hi Kieran,

I went to the link you provided above, http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/releases/view/37109, and within that executable there isn't a AdventureWorks2008 database.

I am working through the MCTS 7-448 Training Kit.  I'm currently working on Chapter1 Exercise 2, and my data source fails becuase I was using the AdventureWorks DB, but the tables do not match the source definition given in the SQL statement.

This link does contain the AdventureWorkDW2008 but not the AdventureWork2008.  Do you have a link were we can get to the AdventureWork2008 database?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I'm working through the same training kit. I'll try removing the AdventureWorks samples from my laptop and re-installing them, and see what I come up with.

    Kind Regards,

    Kieran.

From the link; - http://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/releases/view/37109, I downloaded AdventureWorks2008_SR4.exe which installed the AdventureWorks 2008 Community Sample Databases SR4.
I basically accepted  the default installation options with the exception of installing the databases to the location c:\sqldata.

I then relaunched SSMS 2008. The AdventureWorks2008 database re-appeared. So I'm very confused as to what could be the cause of your issue. Did you get any error messages during the install?
