SQL server cannot be accessed after reboot

Question

we have a server for avaya modular messaging installed on window 2003 sp2 with SQL server 2005 installed.

but last week, after we reboot server, we observered that vserver (avaya application) was not able to connect to the SQL server.

in this duration we observed that  the "NTLM Security Support Provider" service was not running (System event 7035) and AD was not coming up in the statble stat (Directory service error/warning event 1168,1645,1655 and 1126).

the DSN connects to the SQL server using AD authentication and enabled the protocol for the DSN "FEDB" is shared momery.

as it is not able to connect to the SQL server, the vserver was logging 1023 application events.

the only change was the avaya product service account and few MS updates.

please advise!!!

What error does it throw? Is that named or default instance?
