Unknown server tag 'asp:ScriptManager'.

Question

Hi,

when iam trying to keep scriptmanger in masterpage of sharepoint ,it is not handling even though i followed the steps:

1. Install ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions 1.0

    

2. Enter Settings into the web.config File for the WSS3 Site

    

3. Add a ScriptManager into a SharePoint MasterPage
   

This is the error:

An error occurred during the processing of /_catalogs/masterpage/BlueBand.master. Unknown server tag 'asp:ScriptManager'.
