Well yeah, NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users is EVERYONE in your organization who can authenticate.  How did that get in Owner and Member?  Take it out of Owner (Visitor doesn't really matter if you let them be Members).

    Hi,

Kindly, inspect the owner group in SharePoint site settings, and make sure it does not include general roles like: Domain Users or Authenticated Users, or any unwanted AD group.

We can't help you without information.  No users have Owner premissios unless you give them Owner permissions.  This is simply an error in your permissions.

    Hello,

As addition to Mahdi’s suggestion, you need also check 2 places:

    1.       Go to Central Administration > Application Management > Policy for Web Application to see is there any users or AD groups are added there with full control permission.

    2.       Go to Central Administration > Application Management > Site Collection Owners  to see is there any AD groups are added there as administrator.

Also, you need to check whether all these users login to sharepoint with the same account as they login to Windows system. If not, let them use their own user account to login.

    Regards,

    Jerry

    Hello,

What Clayton said is quite correct, NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users is a group that include everyone who can access the current computer environment except guests.

So, once you include the NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users group in “Owner” sharepoint group, everyone can access the site as owner even though they shouldn’t. So, you should delete NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users from “Owner” group.

By the way, “member” group have “contribute” permission level, means the users in this group have modify right on the site. So, if you don’t want everyone can modify your site, you should also delete NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users from “member” group.

    Regards,

    Jerry

Then your outgoing email is not configured.  This is a completely unrelated question that should be in a different thread, otherwise people won't know how to find it if they have the same problem.  Also, please mark an answer above if your question was answered.
