VSP 1713: Incompatible file version

Question

I have a C++ executable I'm trying to profile.  I went through the profile wizard to set up the profiling, ran the application, and exited the application normally.  When the application terminates, the profiler tries to open the VSP file - then throws the error VSP 1713: Incompatible file version.

How on earth could the VSP file be incompatible?  It just generated the darn thing.

Attempts to close Visual Studio and reopen the VSP file fail in the same spectacular way.

I cannot repro the same issue in my local side, and even have not found any settings would caused this issue when open my profiler report.

So can you zip the test project and report files together, and share to us, then we can try to see if we can repro the same issue or find some clues form the profiler report.
