Setup failed

Question

Setup failed and I am using the only version of SQL 2005 developers edition I can get June CTP.
 I cannot get the April CTP I do not have a subscription and I do not have any money.

I have seen several posts saying that the June CTP is not compatible (http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=17872, and http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=18698) .

However, I have also read blogs indicating that it is possible and there may be some advantages to using the June release.

Which is the case, because I also noticed that you can no longer download the April CTP?

Sarah is correct.  The June CTP of SQL 2005 does not work out of the box with the Beta 2 of TFS.  As was noted in other posts there were changes with the June CTP that create some issues.

As for the April CTP not being available for download, I'm going to look into that tomorrow.

So, please download this version for use with TFS beta 2.

Assuming you are an MSDN subscriber you can go to

http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/

Sign-in and then navigate to:

Developer Tools -> Visual Studio 2005 -> Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 -> English

From here you will see SQL Servert 2005 CTP (April)

If you order the Beta 2 evaluation kit, it includes a copy of SQL Server 2005 April CTP.

as I said before (2 times already) I have the 3 disks only 1 of them work on my drive that one is Team Foundation Server if it takes it I will BUY a DVD drive... I dont have enough money to subscribe to MSDN and I think I dont have enough money for a DVD drive... Please e-mail me a copy of it if possable(or legal)

Okay, that's an entirely different issue. For Beta 2, Team System was only distributed on DVD. If you don't have a DVD drive or an MSDN subscription, you may be out of options for Beta 2.

We are planning on distributing the RTM version on CDs.

With our Betas we do our best to make this accessible to everyone -- via media (DVD) and download.  I'm sorry you are having an issue, perhaps you can put the DVD on someone elses machine and copy the ISO images.
