TFS Integration Platform (vNext): compatibility between TFS 2010 and TFS 11

Hi all,
Will the new (vNext) version of TFS Integration Platform support migration and sync sessions between TFS 11 and TFS 2010?
What is going to happen with existing TFS Integration Platform TFS-2010-to-TFS-2010 sync sessions after the upgrade of one of the TFS servers from 2010 to 11? Will the sessions have to be started over after the TFS upgrade?
Thank you,
Maxim

Hi Maxim,
Thanks for your post.
For the TFS Integration Platform(vNext) issue, I suggest you create a Q at: http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/f854dd59-8eeb-4673-8d9a-ae012989bfa2for the better response.

You could potentially pick up the TFS 11 adapter and define a new session that picks up where the other leaves off but that won't be required. TFS releases always offer a very high degree of backward compatibility. The TFS 2010 adapters in the TFS Integration Tools are built on the TFS 2010 client object model. As long as your Visual Studio 2010 client works against the TFS 11 server (and it will), the TFS 2010 adapter using the 2010 client OM to access the TFS 11 server should be fine.
